Best of luck to Tadhg O’Rourke, Padraig Scott and the Roscommon senior panel against Galway on Saturday. Best of luck also to the club’s junior team and management Mick Donoghue and Joe Grady as they get the Division Four League underway at home to St. Faithleach’s on St. Patrick’s Day at 1pm.
The club’s final 50/50 draw was won by Rowan Hand on 3rd March. Rowan won a total of €135. The club wishes to thank all those who have supported the 50/50 draw down through the years, by buying or selling entries or allowing it to be sold on their premises. The 50/50 has been a vital fundraiser for the day-to-day running of the club for many years.
Following much discussion at the recent AGM, the club has decided to replace the weekly 50/50 draw with a twice annual Club Draw which has a total of €10,000 in cash prizes. The first draw will take place on 2nd June in The Tulsk Inn. The second draw will take place in Dec’s Bar on 2nd November. Prizes in each draw are as follows: 1st prize €2,500, 2nd prize €1,000, 3rd prize €500, 4th prize €500 and five additional prizes of €100 each. Tickets costing €100 each will be on sale from usual ticket sellers in the coming weeks. The launch of the Club Draw will take place in Flanagan’s Bar, Castleplunkett on Sunday night. All are welcome to attend!
